WIMBLEDON champion Petra Kvitova has pulled out of the Eastbourne International because of illness. The decision was announced yesterday. The top-seeded Czech had received a bye into the second round of the grasscourt event. It’s unclear whether Kvitova will be fit to defend her title at Wimbledon, which opens next Monday. She hasn’t played since losing in the French Open fourth round. Kvitova also won the Wimbledon title in 2011.
