Murray delays comeback, still hopeful for Wimbledon
Andy Murray has postponed his return from hip surgery but the former world No. 1 still hopes to be back in time for Wimbledon next month.
The 31-year-old Scot has returned to the practice courts but said on Tuesday he would not be playing the Rosmalen grasscourt tournament, near Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, that starts next Monday. 鈥淚t is with regret that I won鈥檛 be ready to play in Hertogenbosch. I was excited to play there for the first time,鈥 said Murray, whose last competitive match was in the 2017 Wimbledon quarterfinals. 鈥淚 am not quite ready to return. I am still aiming to play in the coming weeks, but I want to be 100 percent when I do return.鈥 Murray has won Wimbledon twice and this year鈥檚 tournament starts on July 2. The next grasscourt tournament is Queen鈥檚, which starts on June 18.
