JAPAN’S Kei Nishikori is up to a career-best sixth in the ATP world rankings following his tournament win in Tokyo on Sunday.
That victory came on the back of his victory in Kuala Lumpur the week before and just a month after he reached the final of the US Open.
Novak Djokovic maintained a comfortable advance atop the rankings with his nearest challenger, Rafael Nadal, almost 4,000 points adrift. Roger Federer, meanwhile, is just 295 points behind Nadal.
