FORMER champion Kim Clijsters received her US Open wildcard on Thursday. The 26-year-old Belgian recently came out of retirement and was promised an invitation to the American Grand Slam which begins on August 31. Clijsters won the 2005 US Open. American women getting wildcards were Fed Cup members Alexa Glatch and Vania King, plus Gail Brodksy, Mallory Cecil and Christina McHale. Kristina Mladenovic of France and Olivia Rogowska of Australia also were placed in the tournament's field.
