PRIZE money will increase 6.2 percent at Wimbledon this year.
Organizers said prize money will be 12.55 million pounds (US$18.38 million) for the June 22-July 5 tournament compared to 11.8 million pounds last year. The men's and women's champions will each receive 850,000 pounds, up 13.3 percent from last year.
