Animation, cosplay shows, online games featured at Cartoon & Game Expo

THE 10th annual China International Cartoon & Game Expo (CCG Expo) is onging in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. The expo is in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural and SMG broadcasting company. The expo is split into many different areas, each with a focus on a specific theme.
For example, one area may focus on online games while another zeroes in on comics. One feature of the expo that remains constant is the non-stop cosplay shows. The moment the expo opens its doors at 9:30 in the morning, cosplay shows and competitions for a variety of Chinese anime and manga are held. There are also gaming competitions held throughout the day, but the biggest highlight is the screening of the latest international animation blockbusters such as “Planes” and “How to Train Your Dragon.”
Date: Through July 14
Admission: 50 yuan (weekday) and 80 yuan (weekend)
