British Museum takes up residence in Shanghai
HUNDRED of precious cultural relics collected by the British Museum are now on display at the Shanghai Museum for the next three months. Selected from over eight million objects, these exhibits tell a history of the world spanning over two million years.
Divided into nine sections, the exhibition arranges the relics based on a timeline ranging from two million years ago up to the present day. A detailed guide in text and audio is available on the WeChat account of Shanghai Museum, allowing people and visitors to learn about each exhibit and stories behind. Nine of the objects originate from China.
The No.101 exhibit is a huge QR code, which cleverly consists of photos of the 100 objects featured. Please note there may be queues due to the capacity of the exhibition hall. Alternatively, you can book a night session on WeChat up to seven days before the day you visit.
