Pop sensation drops into Shanghai to 鈥楽ay Somethin鈥 as part of Asia tour
RISING American star Austin Mahone will bring his multi-talented show to Shanghai next month as part of his Asian tour to promote his latest long-player “This Is Not The Album.”
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter blazed a trail as one of the first YouTubers to turn a teenage hobby into a fully-fledged career.
And Mahone has charmed the music industry ever since 2010 after posting cover songs of established artists such as Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber and Jason Mraz. He later has found his success with some original work, like “11:11,” “Say Somethin” “Say You’re Just a Friend” and “What About Love.”
With over 10 million followers on his Instagram handle, 4.5 million subscribers and 1 billion views on his YouTube channel, the pop sensation has solidified his place in the music industry and scooped numerous awards, such as the Teen Choice Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards and Young Hollywood Awards.
The Texas-native performed “Mmm Yeah” on Good Morning America during Super Bowl Week in 2014 and later appeared in Details Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Wall Street Journal, The Today Show and MTV.
The Mahone musical roadshow arrives in Shanghai for a night of pop masterpieces after visits to Guangzhou and Beijing, before taking his entourage on the last leg of his China tour in Chengdu.
