Lights, camera, action!
ONE of Asia's biggest film festivals is back. The 15th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) runs from yesterday until June 24 across 28 theaters in Shanghai.
First held in 1993, the festival has expanded greatly over the years and now features more than 300 films from 106 countries and regions.
The line-up includes everything from arthouse films and romantic French movies to classics, not to mention Disney titles such as "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Lion King" following 3D makeovers.
An unprecedented 10 Iranian movies will be featured, including "The Bear," directed by Khosro Maasoumi.
With a line-up to please audiences of all ages, the wide variety of movies on offer provides movie fans with the perfect excuse to make several trips to the cinema.
