A taste of Paris

IT'S from the heart of the Parisian Rive Gauche - home of Ecole des Beaux-Arts and femmes fatales in marabou coats, oriental turbans and Slavic-style fur-lined boots - that Bruno Frisoni, creative director for Roger Vivier, draws his inspiration. Roger Vivier recently presented its fall/winter collection at its store in Plaza 66. For the second season, the Prismick line showcased the distinctive technique of Roger Vivier, its geometric cuts proving a big hit with fans. The Metro and Diligence handbag collections, steadfast perennials, continue as key classics. Metallic mirrored leather translates this season's expression, producing a vision of contemporary style. And the renowned Vivier buckle receives a makeover, now printed on black satin, which creates the illusion of animal print.
