TWO weeks ago, when the 84th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo rolled out a new vision for menswear at Fortezza da Basso, Florence, the latest innovations and project premieres were not the only thing attracting eyeballs.
What menswear enthusiasts wear at this biannual gathering is a hot topic as fashion photographers from around the world wait at the gate to capture the best-looking gentlemen in Florence.
Despite Florence's unbearable heat during July 18 to 21, the dandies with fresh, summery hues to colorful prints, with short pants with sharp details and a unique touch, have turned the trade show into a sartorial spectacle. Shanghai Daily was on hand and spotted some of the well-dressed gents who make like peacocks during the Florentine fair.
