Styles of the stars
SHANGHAI again demonstrates its status as China's fashion center. This summer, many luxury fashion houses and top fashion magazines have thrown big, mash summer parties and invited a glittering array of designers, stars and celebrities from all over the world to celebrate and party. This time, we have picked some of the latest red carpet looks from a recent party thrown by local fashion magazine Marie Claire, featuring some trends for the upcoming season.
Zhang Jingchu
On that night, Zhang Jingchu prepared three dresses. And on the red carpet, she chose a bold combination of leopard prints with polka dots and the result was amazingly wonderful.
Her hair and her envelope clutch gave a perfect final touch to her vintage look.
Karen Mok
As the finishing star on the red carpet, Karen Mok again demonstrated her well-known taste with a LBD (little black dress), which never goes wrong on any occasion. This nonconventional LBD has peek-a-boo black lace panels at the thigh and blends many of the season's hottest trends: lace, ruffles and the classic feminine silhouette. Her elegant makeup and the glimmering peach-red lips looked charming. We love her signature long-and-large-wave hairstyle, and her shoes too.
Joseph Cheng
Joseph Cheng set himself apart from other male stars on the red carpet by adding some dashing colors and patterns to his outfits. We love his patterned pants, matching scarf and shoes. However, adding a striped shirt and unconventional tuxedo jacket are a bit too much.
Kevin Tsai
TV host Kevin Tsai from Taiwan never fails to surprise on the red carpet. This time, he didn't wear a skirt, but opted for a pair of shorts and matching tuxedo with cropped sleeves and a white-spot pattern. And knee-socks. What I really appreciate is his attention to details, such as the smart bow tie and the carefully selected cuff links.
Huo Siyan
Huo Siyan's long, creamy white layered D&G gown has already been recommended by many fashion magazines as one of the hottest items for the fall season. The big black bow at the waist in front gives it a touch of girlish chic while the bare back design exudes pure sexiness. Personally, I think it can be an interesting alternative wedding gown.
