Trussardi sticks with its trademark casual elegance
TRUSSARDI recently showcased its fall/winter 2012-13 fashion show for local VIPs and fashionistas on the top floor of The Peninsula Shanghai.
Dazzling neon lights sparkled outside the large windows while attendees could also soak in the spectacular view of the Bund. Inside, the Italian style and savoir faire of Trussardi took the spotlight.
Alluring models represented the contemporary, casual elegance that is typical of the fashion house. The last person appearing on the runway was Chinese film star Liao Fan, who thrilled the audience.
For the women's looks, classic wool sweaters, various shades of suede and leather all presented slim silhouettes. The Italian brand sent out a confident message and kept the collection tight and centered around masculine looks in a mature color palette of grey, tan red, sage green and beige.
Men's looks featured the tailored, beautiful lines Trussardi is known for. Seventies-style caps and big sunglasses added to the looks, which came complete with blazers, fur collars, overcoats, vests and leather bags.
The famous brand of luxury leather goods brings 100 years of tradition to Shanghai. A Trussardi flagship store has opened in the Yi Feng Galleria mall on the Bund.
The 400-square-meter two-level store is somewhat intimate with Italian aesthetics. Shoppers will find both the women's and men's fall/winter collection, the luggage line and travel accessories. A VIP room provides a private setting for special purchases.
Leather is used to decorate the interior. A display case covered in soft nappa leather demonstrates superb craftsmanship, while the gloves hanging on the walls suggest the origins of Trussardi. Framed pictures on the walls tell the brand's illustrious story.
