China laps up world鈥檚 most robots
The world鈥檚 high-tech firms are designing robots specifically for the Chinese market, including automatic waste separation and heavy-duty material handling.
Denmark-based Universal Robots remains confident of the Chinese robot market, despite 鈥渢oday鈥檚 uncertain economic environment,鈥 said J眉rgen von Hollen, president of the company, said at the China International Industry Fair yesterday. The company introduced a new robot capable of moving payloads up to 16 kilograms. It plans to open a new application center in Shanghai in October.
Hsoar Group exhibited new reducer and control systems for industrial robots, featuring noise reduction and lifetime expansion.
About 140,000 industrial robots were sold in China in 2018, accounting for one-third of the global total.
