A gigantic handbag, “Sac fragment” by French artist Gilles Cenazandotti is part of an exhibit on the ground floor of the new Printemps department store in the Louvre Museum’s Carrousel du Louvre shopping mall, in Paris, on Monday. The department store opens its first new outlet in 32 years just down the road from the Mona Lisa, hoping that well-heeled tourists will help it counter slowing sales in the luxury sector.
