Aerial photography shot with drones on auction for charity
AERIAL imaging is a relatively new to China.
Shenzhen-based DJI, which produces 70 percent of drones globally, is the organizer of the exhibition and auction. The pictures are going to be sold through an auction for the charity “One Foundation” which helps children suffering from autism.
“Most photographers had their maiden flights (by drone) one or two years ago. They are filled with creation and imagination in the photos,” one of the organizers said. “You wouldn’t need to cut your way to the rooftops anymore: any perspective or any angle would be available for you if you got a drone,” said Stanislav Zaburdaev, whose pictures include night-view buildings in Russia, said.
Chen Cheng, a journalist of Sina.com who visited the show, said he has brought DJI drones on overseas trips, instead of traditional professional camera.
