Bayern Munich opens store on Tmall

GERMAN football team Bayern Munich announced a cooperation with e-commerce giant Alibaba on Wednesday.
The club, believed to have about 90 million fans in China, will sell jerseys and a variety of fan merchandise ranging from genuine branded apparel for men, women and children as well as other goods including traditional German and Bavarian products via its online store on Tmall, Alibaba’s business-to-customer platform.
After placing their orders, fans in China can receive their products in eight to 10 days delivered by DHL.
Bayern is one of several European clubs moving quickly to capitalize on China’s large football market.
