AMERICAN pop singer Selena Gomez topped the Billboard 200 album chart for the first time on Wednesday, besting rapper Jay-Z and the soundtrack to “Teen Beach Movie.”
Backed by her hit single “Come & Get It,” 21-year-old Gomez’s recently-released fourth studio album and first without her band The Scene, “Stars Dance,” sold 97,000 in the past week, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
