Emerging young artists

DEDICATED to the discovery and presentation of emerging art scenes in China and France, an exhibition called “Inside China — L’Interieur du Gant” is on display at the K11 Art Foundation Pop-up Space in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

The exhibition has evolved and traveled from Paris to Hong Kong since last year, bringing the works of the Chinese artists back to China and also to introduce the works of French artists to Chinese. The works of Cheng Ran, Mathis Collins, Renaud Jerez, Li Gang, Edwin Lo, Jonathan Martin, Nadar, Aude Pariset, Wu Hao, Yu Ji and Zhao Yao are part of the exhibition.

In their entirety, they represent a new wave of creators, whose work questions the over-production, monumentality and rapid development which they witness in their surroundings, often embedding these challenges into their own systems of production. Adrian Cheng, Founder and Honorary Chairman of KAF, said: “What we have done to take this pioneering Paris exhibition and enable it to grow and evolve to be shown here in Hong Kong is really special.

“It was our intention to establish new forms of dialogue and allow this cross-fertilization.”
