Hong Kong - Feline photos win

Three photos featuring cats were honored with golden prizes during a animal photography competition launched by Animal Asia, a Hong Kong-based animal welfare charity. More than 2,600 photos of animals were submitted in the competition, which celebrates World Animal Day (October 4), and advocates care for stray animals, being a responsible pet owner and banning cats and dogs from diners’ tables.
Stray cats are featured in two of the award-winning pictures, respectively titled “Homeless Angels,” and “The Most Touching Eyes” (above). The other one, titled “We Are a Family,” depicts a Guangxi senior who lives in solitude with his cat.
