More signature X+Q Art on show at L’Avenue
X+Q Art, founded by art duo Xiang Qing and Qu Guangci, unveiled their latest exhibition “Met Happiness” at L’Avenue shopping mall in Shanghai.
Featuring a two-floor-high scaffold-like plastic art installation, the exhibition showcases some of the pair’s signature artworks. Old-fashion TV sets are placed inside the giant structure, playing at random the 34 emojis the artists made with a playful derivation of their famed sculpture features, the plump angels.
There is also a pop-up store selling a variety of the duo’s art products, such as whisky glasses and mark cups featuring the angel figures, and umbrellas and silk scarfs. The exhibition runs through September 3.
