Singapore - Mooning over mooncakes
Six different artworks were painted on the bottoms of mannequins in Singapore to promote Hong Kong buttock-shaped mooncakes ahead of the Mid-Autumn festival.
The mooncakes are a tongue-in-cheek reference to the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, which is Cantonese colloquial euphemism for buttocks, according to Douglas Young, owner of Hong Kong lifestyle brand Goods of Desire (G.O.D.).
“We say they need a lot more practice with sculpture and feel before they can come up with a true derriere mooncake of art that will make us think of anything else but butt,” said Young.
