Singing sensation Katy Perry brings Prismatic World Tour to Shanghai

International superstar Katy Perry brought her Prismatic World Tour to Shanghai yesterday at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, where a second show is scheduled for today.
Perry is touring in support of her album 鈥淧RISM,鈥 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 list. The platinum album has given Perry her biggest ever single with 鈥淩oar,鈥 while 鈥淒ark Horse鈥 just became her lucky 13th top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled to bring the Prismatic World Tour to some of my favorite places in Asia, as well as some sensational places I鈥檝e never been. I can鈥檛 wait to take in the sights and the culture, and share my music and meet all of the new fans,鈥 said Perry.
This time, Perry鈥檚 show features a special set design that allows her to get closer to fans than ever before.
During 2014, Perry staged her hugely successful global spectacle in front of over 100 sold-out crowds in North America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Her tour continues into 2015 with performances scheduled for Europe, Asia and South America, where Perry is slated to headline Rock In Rio in Brazil on September 25.
Perry cemented her status as a best-selling superstar with the global success of her second studio album, 鈥淭eenage Dream,鈥 which debuted at No. 1 in eight countries and spent more than two years on Billboard鈥檚 Top 200 album sales chart. She has also become the only female artist to have five No. 1 singles from one album on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including 鈥淐alifornia Gurls,鈥 鈥淭eenage Dream,鈥 鈥淔irework,鈥 鈥淓.T.鈥 and 鈥淟ast Friday Night.鈥
