Gubei Campus offers guidance and support
YEW Chung International School at the Puxi Campus in Gubei is an international secondary school offering the National Curriculum for England, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) in English to more than 500 students from 43 different nationalities.
We pride ourselves in our supportive and friendly atmosphere within a clear academic setting. Our academic results place us in the top 10 percent of IB schools worldwide and many of our graduates attend prestigious universities, but just as importantly, leave us as true globally-minded individuals with a clear sense of duty and responsibility.
Our Chinese language program allows pupils to gain knowledge of Mandarin and progress to a high standard in the language quickly. Differentiated programs in Mathematics, English and Chinese allow us to make individual provisions for pupil ability and progression, and we also offer a wide range of subject choices at IGCSE and IB level.
Experienced tutors and teachers are always available to provide guidance and support as our students move through the school. Our university guidance counselors work closely together with students and parents to assist with their university choices and applications. Graduates of our school often return to share experiences.
Sporting events are also an integral part of our curriculum across all years, ranging from basketball and volleyball to soccer and floor hockey. The forthcoming "Pirates of Penzance" dramatic production combines our strengths in both drama and music.
Our recent Christmas concerts in the Gubei Hall were a resounding success and a celebration of the vibrancy and enthusiasm of the school community. Our more formal concert program has an established and well-deserved reputation for excellence in Shanghai.
We are proud of our students and our school and welcome you to visit our campus and our community.
We look forward to welcoming you.
