Always strive for excellence

I have studied at SSIS for several months now, and I like this new school very much. I have made lots of friends! My only challenge is to improve my English, as all the lessons here are conducted in English except Chinese language.

Recently, my parents met with my English teacher and she gave me good suggestions. First, I should try to practice English as much as possible with my classmates and refrain from using Chinese, my mother tongue. Next I should read English language books regularly. I should also watch movies and shows in English at home.

"Life is what you make it to be. Whatever you conceive and believe in, you can achieve." This advice was given by my parents. When we face any difficulties and crossroads in our lives, we must choose the right way. The kind of lives we want depends entirely on us, and we are the ones who bear the consequences for our own actions.

I have learnt that the only way to improve my English is work harder and always strive for excellence. As the saying goes, "You reap what you sow." I will only be able to become what I want to be if I start to strive hard now.
