Learning about animation and gelato

I went to the Shanghai Animation Film Studio this summer vacation.

I got there by car because it was raining heavily. I did an interview with Elison, who is an employee there. She told me that making a 10-minute-long animation normally takes at least two weeks. She told me her favorite animation is the “Monkey King” and she thought animation is very interesting, which is why she likes to work in the creative field. She works eight hours a day.

My favorite part of the visit was seeing the animation clips, including one for “Happy Numbers.” The animation editors showed us how to draw animations and how to use computers to make them, too. I learned that making an animation is very difficult, plus it takes a very long time. After the visit, I felt really happy, surprised and fascinated.

After a wonderful meal, we went to Iceason in the afternoon. I interviewed with Alice and Mr Shi. They told me that Iceason has 18 flavors of gelato, including strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. Vanilla is the best-selling flavor of gelato. A scoop of fruit gelato is 24 yuan (US$3.91) and milk gelato is 26 yuan.

I want to go to the Shanghai Animation Film Studio and Iceason again.
