Program Code: 0909346161005011 Source: Miaopai
A man was in custody after he attempted to steal the mobile phone of a police officer in a police station in Shanghai's Putuo District on September 19.
In the surveillance video, the “thief,” surnamed Hu, is seen unplugging the charger of a mobile phone on the desk and putting into his pocket when he’s alone in the room.
He tried to leave but failed to open the door which requires a swipe card.
Media reports said Hu went to the police station to complain about his employment agency as he was unhappy with the job he was offered. However, the police officers rejected him as it’s not a fraud case.
So Hu decided to steal the cop's mobile phone to make up for his loss. When he realized that he could not get out, he threw the phone onto the sofa, pretending that nothing had happed, but the surveillance camera captured everything.
Hu was arrested for suspected theft.
