Emoticons For 鈥淢aybe It鈥檚 Fake鈥︹ Go Viral
Emoticons of “Maybe it’s fake…” have gone viral across China’s social media. Popular ones seem to be "Maybe I have gone over fake books", "Maybe I have gone to fake bed", "Maybe I have fake boyfriend".
It is believed that the original version is “Maybe I have drunk fake wine” when electronic game players blame their poor performance on drinking fake wine.
Another saying is borrowed from a punch line that originated from a piece of news that some illegal businessmen in Russia sold fake wine made from washing products containing alcohol, resulting in intoxication or even death.
Later a netizen posted photos of fake Terra-Cotta Warriors in Xi’an.
A series of emoticons popped up after the college final examination. College students blamed their poor grades on reviewing fake books, having fake lessons, answering fake papers, stepping into fake examination rooms, using fake pens or even going to fake colleges.
Even a teacher from Nanjing Medical University posted am emoji that said, “I might have recruited a batch of fake top students” at class.
Web users dug out more of them.
