Zootopia's Sloth Makes China Laugh Slowly BUT Loudly
Sloth in Zootopia is doing a new way to laugh and the Chinese audience are on it across multiplexes and social media.
Walt Disney's latest animated film Zootopia ruled the Chinese box office in the week ending Sunday after opening on March 4.
It earned a whopping 578 million yuan (US$88.7 million) .
Chinese audience loved the adorably huggable characters, especially the sloth -- Flash. His slowly spreading smile is thought to be the funniest part of the film.
Animated gifts like the one below, featuring the characters have been shared across instant messaging app WeChat.
And like this.
A creative guy also placed Flash's face into classical masterpiece painting Mona Lisa.
Someone even mimicked Sloth's dopey facial expression and posed it on Facebook.
It earned over 15,000 likes within hours.
Many netizens thought they smiled in almost the same way and have similar facial appearance.
She is an actor and also daughter of Angie Chai, a very popular producer for Taiwanese dramas.
