Boy Dies, Mother Injured By Falling Storage Locker

The child succumbed to head injuries and a massive hemorrhage after two hours of emergency treatment. His mother suffered a fracture to her right leg, and is still being treated for her injuries.
The tragedy happened around 7:05pm, security footage shows. The two-meter-tall locker fell onto the mother and son as they removed their belongings from it.
Passersby helped lift the locker, which collapsed onto the boy and pinned his mother’s leg. The pair were quickly rushed to a hospital.
The locker was placed on an angled 10cm-high concrete step. The shop has been closed since the accident.
