The full video of a shocking incident at a Beijing wildlife park in which a visitor was killed and another injured by Siberian tigers was released on November 16.

On July 23 this year, a tiger attacked a 32-year-old woman, surnamed Zhao, after she got out of the car at Badaling Wildlife World. The tigers killed her mother after she got out to help her daughter.

Netizens suggested that Zhao might have got out of the car after an argument with her husband. But Zhao denied that, telling the Beijing Youth Daily, that she got out of the car because she was feeling sick. She decided to change the seat with her husband, who was driving the car, as they thought they had already arrived at a safety zone. Zhao said the footage proves they had talked about changing seats because as soon as she left the car, the door of the driver seat opened.

After Zhao was dragged away by the tiger, a patrol car showed up soon. Zhao's husband asked for help, but the staff didn't leave the car. The staff told the husband not to stop on the driveway as it blocked the rescue vehicle.

Zhao's husband had to drive away quickly. Then several patrol cars can be seen moving back and forth, but nobody got out of the car. According to media reports, the staff pressed the accelerator and blew the horn to scare the tigers away.

About 20 minutes after the attack, Zhao and her mother were wrapped in quilts and lifted on to a rescue car one after another.

Zhao suffered multiple injuries on her torso and face, and has a scar measuring more than 20cm on her face. The nerves of her face were also damaged, the report said.

Zhao's family said the park lacks contingency plans, rescue methods and equipment after the fatal attack so they had to take responsibility for the incident.

Cao Zhijie, the spokesman of the park, said a district government investigation had proved the park was not to blame. They would wait for the legal decision.
