Lovers, Locked In Embrace In The Middle Of The Road, Hit By Drunk Driver

A car in Heze City in east China’s Shandong Province struck young lovers, who were locked in a passionate kiss in the middle of a road at 3:30 in the morning today.  

Shandong Satellite TV reported that one of the lovers was killed.

Surveillance video showed the pair jumped over guardrails and then stopped in the middle of the road to kiss each other.  

Unfortunately, a car hit them even though few other passing cars had slowed down and managed to avoid them. The driver, surnamed Zhang, crashed into a taxi further after hitting the couple.

The taxi driver and the passengers in the cab caught Zhang and handed him over to the police. 

Blood test showed that Zhang was drunk at the time of the accident and has been charged with dangerous driving.
