A tram hit a man in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, as he stayed focused on his cell phone.

The man was crossing the tracks and did not notice the tram coming.

He suffered multiple fractures all over his body but the injuries were not life threatening.

A surveillance video showed the man was looking at his mobile phone after getting off from a taxi and stopped in the middle of the tracks.

The oncoming tram hit him as it was unable to brake.
