Man Cycles 500km In Wrong Direction To Get Home
Program Code: 09093461701260017 Source: Tencent
A man spent more than one month cycling home for the Spring Festival only to find that he had been traveling in the opposite direction.
The man, reportedly a casual laborer, decided to go home in Qiqihar, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province by bike as he couldn't afford a train ticket.
He set out from Rizhao, east China's Shandong Province and followed the directions of passers-by all the way.
The man was stopped by traffic police when he was riding his bicycle on an expressway in Wuhu, east China’s Anhui Province on January 20.
It was then that police told him he had gone the wrong way as he had cycled over 500 kilometers south instead of heading north.
Taking pity on him, warm-hearted police officers and tollbooth staff donated money for him to buy a train ticket home.
