A video was widely shared by social media users, showing a man jumping into a swim ring but soon sinking to the bottom and disappearing.

The video was captured on July 24 in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, Qianjiang Evening News reported.

The man surnamed Cheng was inhaled into a drainage pipe 7-8 meters long at the bottom of the reservoir.

Cheng said, the water near the shore was not too deep and only reached up to his chest.

After swimming around ten minutes with his friends in the afternoon, a local resident asked him to help remove the wooden boards and open the water inlet at the bottom of the dam. The resident explained, the water level need to be cut down to prepare for the construction later.

Cheng did. And at that point, Cheng felt he was safe as the water stream was not urgent. So they went on playing water .

After about twenty minutes, Cheng wanted to challenge a back dive and his friend, surnamed Xiong, helped record the process with the mobile phone.

Unexpectedly, Cheng and the swim ring were both inhaled into the drainage pipe with more than half a meter in diameter.

Xiong, who wanted to rescue Cheng, was also inhaled into the pipe.

However, Cheng was so lucky that after about 30 seconds, he spewed from the drainage outlet. In several seconds, Xiong also spewed from the pipe.

Cheng's pants were torn and tattered. Some bleeding bruises can be seen on Cheng and Xiong's backs, legs and buttocks.

They didn't call police and soon left the scene to deal with the wounds.
