Brave Man Removes Burning Gas Tank to Save Neighbors

A man in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, became a hero after he risked his own life to take a burning gas tank out of his neighbor's home on December 2.

Cai Dingfeng, 63, was just back home when he saw flames coming out of his neighbor's kitchen.

According to media reports, the neighbor surnamed Wang was cooking when the gas pipe leaked and triggered a fire. Wang was then so scared and got badly burned as well.

As the situation seemed to get worse, Cai wrapped his right hand with soaked clothing and tried to drag the burning gas tank out of the kitchen.

However, as the flaming tank scalded him, he had to use a rake to help move the tank.

Cai decided to drag the tank to an open place for the safety of all the neighbors nearby. So he ran all the way out of the residential area and left the burning tank by a pond.

The flames were finally put out when the firemen threw the tank into the water.

After the video went viral on social media, many netizens highly praised Cai for his bravery.

According to neighbors, it was not the first time Cai did such good deed. He had also previously saved a woman in a nearby river in the winter of 2014.
