China Central Television (CCTV) has released a short animated video depicting the Group of 20 (G20) summit that opened on Sunday amid multiple risks and challenges in Hangzhou, capital of east China’s Zhejiang Province.
The summit, themed "Toward an innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive world economy," aims to prescribe a therapy to revive the sluggish world economy.
The cartoon begins with the global financial crisis of 2008 when the alliance of 20 countries was formed to achieve a win-win situation and lead the global economic recovery. Then it further explains China’s role in the alliance with lively cartoon figures.
The video received warm feedbacks over the social media. Some of the comments posted said:
It this the CCTV we know?
Very impressive! I shall treat CCTV with new eyes.
A mix match of American comics and CCTV documentary, ending up with unexpected good results.
How about drawing Chinese host in a fair complexion next time?
Win-win situation must be achieved by cooperation instead of playing alone.
