Hogwarts-style Auditorium at Zhejiang University Reopens after 14 Years
The auditorium at the Zhijiang campus of Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, capital city of eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, reopened on Monday after 14 years of closure.
The newly renovated auditorium soon became an Internet sensation as it looks very much like the Great Hall of Hogwarts in the “Harry Potter” movie series.
Named Duke Hall or Yuying Hall, the structure was built between 1917 and 1919. It was a landmark in the former Hangchow University, the old campus of Zhejiang University.
Renovation started in March, and its original appearance has largely been preserved. It will be mainly used for educational purpose.
