Off Operation After 24 Hours, Doctor Survives On Glucose
A doctor tired to hell after a 24-hour operation left him sitting on the ground with Glucose in hand.
On May 19, the photo went viral online, touching the masses on the virtual world.
The doctor Chen Lei works at the No. 2 hospital of Anhui Medical University. On that day he was busy carrying out operation relating to urinary surgery in which a man who died of sudden cerebral hemorrhage donated kidneys and liver.
Chen had to ensure the organs were active. To make entire process go smoothly, Chen was constantly on his toe for over 24 hours.
The operation finally concluded but not without leaving him on glucose.
The photo was shot by Li Fukai, a journalist from Jianghuai Morning Herald. Moved by the scene, Li took the photo and posted it on WeChat. The next day, the photo hit the Internet.
Chen Lei was reluctant to be interviewed while his colleagues were busy with work. Among the thanks he saw, the most precious one he said was from the relatives of the patient.
On Weibo, netizens admired the doctor and showered him with respect.
The story behind the photo is as striking as the photo itself. It displays how much the doctors and the nurses are devoted towards their career.
Amid reports of conflict between doctors and patients, those responsible medical staff are worthy of compliments and rewards.
