Angry Shanghai Auntie Scolds Man for Spitting on Subway
Program Code: 09093461705120017
A web user posted a video on Weibo on May 11 showing a Shanghai auntie scolding a man for spitting on the train floor on Metro Line 4.
"If I were a boss, I wouldn't want an employee like you ... too impertinent," the woman said after she saw the young man with glasses spitting on the floor several times.
While the woman was still criticizing his behavior, the man spat on the floor again.
"I give a tissue, ok? You've gone too far! You can't do this. It's not your home, " the woman said, taking out a tissue.
By now, other passengers were angry as well. Some men stood over the offender and ordered him off the train.
Then the auntie used her tissue to cover the spit on the floor.
The Shanghai Metro operator told The Paper the offender in video faces a fine of 500 yuan. The operator also encouraged more citizens to be like the auntie and discourage such behavior.
