A woman in the city of Dali in southwest China’s Yunnan Province has been harassed by excrement attack from a man disguised as ghost for almost seven months.
After investigation, the "culprit" was sentence to 20 days in detention on August 2 because of blatantly insulting others and deliberately causing damage to property.
The woman surnamed Yang reported to the police that someone disguised as ghost had blocked keyholes, splashed excrement and urine at her doorstep. The camera installed on the corridor captured someone dressed in white gown and mask several times.
Police arrested a man surnamed Wang on July 31 and found at his home plastic bags he had used to disguise as ghost, glue and bottles for smashing the camera. Wang confessed the offences.
Wang lives in the same building with Yang. He said he couldn’t fall asleep as he often heard knocking sound at night. He thought the noise came from residents living next door. So he came up with the idea for revenge.
