A man faces a 10-day detention after he was caught on video repeatedly hitting a courier guy in Beijing.
In the video posted online, the man can be seen hitting the SF Express delivery guy several times after his black Toyota car, that was reversing, touched his motorcycle.
The middle-aged man, in a black shirt, can be seen abusing the courier guy while also hitting him. Throughout the incident the delivery guy does not react to the abuse or to the hitting. Instead, a few people can be seen trying to calm the car owner.
"I apologized at that time and agreed to compensate him 400 yuan, but he still appeared to be angry," said the deliveryman surnamed Feng.
The video led to widespread public anger against the car owner. The Beijing police took issue of it and launched an investigating. Later in the evening, they said they will put the man in a 10-day detention.
Netizens were immediately enraged after they saw the video.
This is so disgusting. Who give you the right to beat a person like this?
It's not clear whether the man or the courier guy is responsible for the scratch. But anyway, you can't just beat him.
How poor the courier guy is! He didn't fight back, or run away...
