1 dead in Detroit firing
One person was killed and nine others wounded on Saturday night when someone opened fire at a party on a basketball court in Detroit, authorities said.
Assistant Police Chief Steve Dolunt said about 400 people — including families with small children in strollers — had gathered for a neighborhood party when shots were fired at about 8:30pm on Saturday.
A 20-year-old man was killed, Dolunt revealed.
The victims ranged in age from 21 to 46, he said, and three of them were women.
Dolunt added that the police don’t know the reason for the shooting and no one had been arrested.
