1 dead in university shooting

A STUDENT yesterday opened fire at a university in Pecs, in southern Hungary, killing one student and wounding three other people, university and police officials said.
The 23-year-old man has been detained and is being questioned, police spokeswoman Bernadett Bojtor said, adding that his motive was so far unknown.
"He ran across to a nearby clinic, and gave himself up in a phone call," she said. "He used a handgun, but I cannot specify the exact type or where he got it from."
The shooting happened at the biophysics research institute of Precs University, and the attacker was a pharmacology student.
