18 killed in pile-up

EIGHTEEN people were killed yesterday and 40 injured in a traffic accident outside Moscow involving a truck, a bus and several other vehicles, officials said. Police said it appeared that the truck, which was carrying a load of gravel, turned onto a main road and plowed into the bus. The interior ministry said that the 18 killed included a young child.
