25 dead, 100 hurt in train fireball

AUTHORITIES say casualties from a fiery train accident in Myanmar are now 25 dead and more than 100 injured. Yesterday's report raised the number of injured after a carriage full of fuel burst into flames.

State television had said Friday that 64 people were injured in an explosion and fire after dozens of people rushed to skim fuel from a derailed tanker train's overturned carriages.

The train was travelling from Yangon to the Kachin state capital of Myitkyina.
