3 arrested over deadly overpass accident in Nanjing

THREE people have been arrested on suspicion of being responsible for a deadly work accident on an overpass in east China's Jiangsu Province last month, the local procuratorate said Saturday.
Steel box girders on an overpass in Nanjing City, capital of Jiangsu, overturned on Nov. 26, throwing ten workers to the ground. Seven of them died while three suffered injuries.
The three detained for questioning were the project's manager, chief engineer and supervisor.
An investigation showed violations of safety procedures caused the accident.
