3 crew members dead after helicopter crash in Japan

THREE crew members of a crashed helicopter which was found Friday in Miyazaki Prefecture were dead after being sent to hospital, local media reported.

The training helicopter belonging to Japan's Maritime Self- Defense Force lost contact with ground commanders at 11:05am Thursday local time and its debris was found Friday morning on a mountain in Ebino, southwestern Japan.

The crash led all three on board dead, including Captain Yamamoto who is in his 30s, as well as two SDF members.
