37 killed in twin Moscow Metro blasts

AT least 37 people were killed and 22 others injured today in the explosions hitting two subway stations in central Moscow, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.

The first explosion occurred at the Lubyanka station, killing at least 25 people, and injured at least 10 others.

Shortly afterwards, an explosion hit another subway station. The Interfax news agency quoted a security official as saying the second blast, which hit the Cultural Park station, killed 12 people and injured 12 others.
