5 more bodies found

FIREFIGHTERS raised the death toll from the collapse of three buildings in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earlier this week to at least 17 people and said hopes of finding anyone alive beneath the rubble are slim. A Rio de Janeiro fire department official said rescuers pulled five more bodies from the debris overnight and early yesterday morning. The death toll had been 12. Seven people remain missing.
